[origin: EP0601637A1] To prevent breakdown of an insulating layer (21) located underneath a gate electrode (22), the gate electrode (22) is connected to an external terminal via a high-ohmic resistor (17). The high-ohmic resistor (17,17') may form part of a resistive network for biasing voltages for a plurality of gate electrodes (22,22').
