[origin: EP0601916A1] The invention relates to a motor unit comprising a framework (1), a rotary shaft (5), a first fluid motor (2) having a cam which is fixed with respect to the framework and a cylinder block which is integral with the shaft (5) and is driven by the first motor (2) at a first speed of rotation. According to the invention: the shaft has a recess (6) channeling the drilling fluid; the cylinder block of the first motor is coaxial with the axis of rotation (7); the motor unit comprises a second motor (3) coupled in rotation to the shaft and driving it at a second speed of rotation which is greater than the first speed of rotation; a first meshing pinion (56) is integral and coaxial with the shaft (5); the second motor (3) has an output shaft (64) integral with a second pinion (57) meshing with the first pinion (56); and the first motor is of the type with "declutchable" pistons. One application is the production of a high-performance drilling assembly. <IMAGE>
