[origin: EP0601941A1] Set of modular electrical appliances which can be assembled together, including alternating current circuit breakers (1), in which all the electrical appliances can be mounted side-by-side. According to the invention, the set comprises at least one accessory (2) enclosing a means of magnetic field generation (7), the magnetic field (B) being propagated outside of the box (3) in such a way that, when an alternating current circuit breaker (1) and the said accessory (2) are mounted side-by-side, the magnetic field (B) transversely passes through an arc extinction chamber of the alternating current circuit breaker, so as to make it possible to have this circuit breaker operating on direct current. <IMAGE>
