[origin: DE4129191A1] The invention concerns a waterproof zip closure comprising two rows of teeth, each row being joined to a tape, the rows of teeth being brought into engagement with each other and separated from each other by a slide. In the vicinity of the rows of teeth, the zip closure has sealing means which, when the zip is closed, are pressed against each other, thus forming a seal. The sealing means consist of an elastic rubber or plastics material disposed between the individual teeth. Between the elastic rubber or plastics material and the tape, and optionally also the teeth, there is an intimate join produced by adhesive bonding or vulcanization. The invention also concerns a method of manufacturing a zip closure of this kind.

Fermeture à glissière étanche à l'eau, composée de deux rangées de dents dont chacune est reliée à un ruban de fermeture à glissière, les rangées de dents pouvant être mises en prise entre elles, puis séparées au moyen d'un curseur. La fermeture à glissière présente au voisinage immédiat des rangées de dents un moyen d'étanchéité, lequel s'applique par contrainte de manière étanche lorsque la fermeture à glissière est fermée. Ledit moyen d'étanchéité est un matériau caoutchouteux ou en plastique élastique situé entre les différentes dents. Entre le matériau caoutchouteux ou plastique élastique et le ruban de fermeture à glissière, et le cas échéant les dents, une liaison intime est établie par collage ou vulcanisation. Procédé pour la fabrication d'une telle fermeture à glissière.
