Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9401603A1] The invention concerns a shaped-section fine-fibre filament yarn made of polyamide POY with a viscosity value (RV) of 40 to 55 and strength of 30 to 45 cN/tex, the filament yarn having a single-fibre titre of less than 1.5 dtex, a colour uniformity with a coefficient of variation of less than 2 and a fibre width-to-length (B/L) ratio of 0.5 to 0.7 and being intended as feed yarn for texturing purposes. The yarn is produced by extrusion at an injection speed of 8 to 14 m/min through a nozzle with a capillary section of 0.05 to 0.1 mm<2> per capillary, the solidified filaments being drawn to give a POY - partially oriented yarn.
