[origin: EP0602360A1] An ink writing implement has a front part (1, 2, 101), having the writing tip (3; 103) which comes into contact with the writing substrate, a writing liquid cartridge (10; 110), whose inner chamber (11; 111) containing the writing liquid is sealingly closed before the start of operation and is in connection with the front part in operation, and a compensation system (20, 120), which is arranged in a housing and which, in operation, is connected by one end to the inner chamber of the writing liquid cartridge and by the other end to ambient air. The writing liquid cartridge and the front part are indissolubly connected to each other, and the front part can be introduced through a rear aperture into the compensation system and can be moved into a position in which it projects beyond the front aperture (132) in the housing (30; 130). <IMAGE>
