[origin: EP0602374A1] In a vehicle lamp having a reflector or a lens for focusing the light beams which emerge from a filament of a filament lamp and having a light pane connected downstream in the beam path, having light-scattering optical elements arranged on the inside of the light pane in rows and/or columns of predetermined subdivision, the optical elements being constructed as lenses which scatter in the horizontal direction and/or the vertical direction, in order for the light pane to have the uniform appearance of a lens optics, but for the deflection behaviour of the light in this case to correspond both to that of a lens optics and a prism optics, a part or all of the optical elements have in horizontal or vertical section two prism flanges and one radius connecting the prism flanges, the prism flanges and the light pane form angles which deflect the light beams impinging on the prism flanges into outer regions which enclose an inner region into which the light beams impinging on the radius are scattered, and the radius merges tangentially into the prism flanges.
