[origin: EP0602417A1] The rodless power cylinder has a housing (10) in which a guide slides to which a power take-off (11) is fastened. In the power take-off, a brake device (14) is arranged in lateral housing parts (12, 13). The brake device (14) has pressurised pistons (15 to 18) which interact with a common, roughly rectangular pressure plate (23) and can press the latter against the outsides of the housing (10) of the power cylinder for the purpose of braking and securing the power take-off. In this way, a uniform contact pressure is obtained, which can also be introduced eccentrically. <IMAGE>
