An apparatus for the continuous treatment of sheet-like, especially textile structures (10) resting on a supporting band (8), with at least one liquid containing at least one active substance, has at least one liquid compartment (2) and means which bring about a relative movement of the liquid and sheet-like structure. As seen in the treatment direction (6), means for feeding (16) a covering band (11) coming to rest over the sheet-like structure (10) are provided upstream of the liquid compartment (2) and means for lifting off (17) the covering band (11) from the sheet-like structure (10) are provided downstream of the liquid compartment (2). The supporting band (8) and the covering band (11) are of differing quality, and in particular the supporting band (8) consists of a stiffer material than the covering band (11). At least one liquid compartment has an inflow (3) and a flow-off (4), if appropriate in the form of an overflow, especially into the adjacent liquid compartment. <IMAGE>

Eine Vorrichtung zur kontinuierlichen Behandlung von flächigen, insbesondere textilen, auf einem Tragband (8) aufliegenden Gebilden (10) mit wenigstens einer wenigstens einen Wirkstoff enthaltenden Flüssigkeit weist wenigstens ein Flüssigkeitsabteil (2) auf und Mittel, die eine Relativbewegung von Flüssigkeit und flächigem Gebilde bewirken. Vor dem Flüssigkeitsabteil (2) - in Behandlungsrichtung (6) gesehen - sind Mittel zum Zuführen (16) eines über das flächige Gebilde (10) zum Liegen kommenden Deckbandes (11) und nach dem Flüssigkeitsabteil (2) Mittel zum Abheben (17) des Deckbandes (11) von dem flächigen Gebilde (10) vorgesehen. Tragband (8) und Deckband (11) sind von unterschiedlicher Qualität, wobei insbesondere das Tragband (8) aus einem steiferen Material besteht als das Deckband (11). Wenigstens ein Flüssigkeitsabteil weist einen Zulauf (3) und einen Ablauf (4), gegebenenfalls in Form eines Überlaufs, insbesondere in das benachbarte Flüssigkeitsabteil, auf. <IMAGE>
