Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0602594A1] On a cellular wheel (4) which can be driven in such a way as to rotate about a central shaft (5) there are arranged cells (35) which are separated from one another by means of spokes (33). On the spokes (33) there are fastened blades (36) in such a way that each cell (35) is delimited on two opposite end faces of the cellular wheel (4) by one blade (36) in each case. At each end face of the cellular wheel (4) there is arranged at least one stationary counterblade (39) which interacts with the rotating blades (36). The cellular wheel (4) is subdivided, in a plane (40) which is normal to the central shaft, into two cellular wheel halves (4', 4'') which are in each case mounted on a bearing box (32). The two bearing boxes (32) can be adjusted with respect to one another along the central shaft (5). The counterblades (39) participate in adjustment, as they are in each case supported by one of the bearing boxes (32). As a result of this, the device can, by means of relative adjustment of the two cellular wheel halves (4', 4''), be adapted in a simple fashion to products to be trimmed of different formats. <IMAGE>
