[origin: EP0603027A1] The subject of the present invention is a system for assembling (holding) at least one visor (2a; 2b) on a helmet (1), the visor being movable on a slide (30a; 30b) between an operational position and a retracted position. The system according to the invention comprises, on each side of the helmet (1), a holding and guiding piece (3) including the slide (30a; 30b) and held on the helmet (1), on the one hand by a fastening device (4) and, on the other hand, by a device (5) for retaining the piece on the helmet (1). In a release position, the fastening device (4) completely releases the piece (3). The latter, however, remains attached to the helmet by means of the retention device (5) so that it can move towards a position in which the visor can be removed from the slide without colliding with the shell (10) of the helmet. The system of the invention makes it possible to change visors rapidly without requiring tools. It is of particular interest for aircraft or helicopter pilots. <IMAGE>
