Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0603113A1] The packaging consists of an elongate cardboard strip (1) which is wrapped around a product to be packaged, such as a book or tape cassette, placed in the middle region of said cardboard strip. A further cardboard strip (5) which extends in said middle region between mutually opposite longitudinal edges of the cardboard strip (1), is attached thereto, and can be separated along a central perforation line (6) forms two inner flaps (7, 8) for wrapping around the product to be packaged. The cardboard strip (1) wrapped around over the inner flaps forms outer flaps (13, 14). One (13) of the outer flaps has, at the end on the inside, a self-adhesive layer (16) from which a protective paper (17) is to be pulled off in order to make the package ready for despatch quickly. Perforation lines (18) running parallel to the self-adhesive layer, bound a tear strip (19) from whose ends further perforation lines (20) run at a right angle up to the bending line (21) of the outer flap. When the tear strip (19) has been removed, a middle section (22) of the flap can be torn open along the perforation lines (20) in order to remove the contents. In order to reuse the packaging, there is a further self-adhesive layer (23), inwards of and parallel to the tear strip and extending over the width of the flap section (22) which can be torn open, with a protective paper (24) on the outer flap (13) so that the packaging can be sealed again conveniently to be ready for despatch. <IMAGE>
