[origin: DE4143343A1] The electrostatic membrane pump has two pump blocks (2,3) of differing conductivity semiconductor materials, one of which provides a membrane zone (6) and each of which has a conductive electrode zone (11) coupled to a voltage source. The blocks (2,3) are relatively insulated from one another and together define a hollow space (10)adjacent the membrane zone (6), filled with a different fluid medium from that handled by the pump via an opening (4,5) in the pump block (2) opposite that incorporating the membrane zone (6). The opposing electrode zones (11) are arranged so that the fluid filling the hollow space (10) is subjected to the electrical field, but not the pumped fluid medium. USE - Accurate dosing of fluids in microlitre and sub-microlitre range.

Il est décrit une micropompe à membrane (1) à commande électrostatique comportant un premier corps de pompe (2; 32) comme corps de contre-électrode, ainsi qu'un deuxième corps de pompe (3, 33), lequel présente une zone de membrane (6). Les deux corps de pompe (2, 32; 3, 33) définissent une cavité (10) adjacente à la zone de membrane (6) et sont électriquement isolés l'un de l'autre. La cavité (10) est remplie d'un fluide différent du fluide à pomper. Les corps de pompe (2, 32; 3, 33) peuvent être constitués d'un matériau semiconducteur de types de charge différents. Le fluide se trouvant dans la cavité a de préférence une constante diélectrique élevée.
