Das Mauerwerk in Form eines Verblendsturzes mit Läuferschichten und mit einer darunterliegenden Läufer- oder Rollschicht und mit eine in die Fugen (17) im Mauermörtel eingebetteten Bewehrung (10 bis 12) ist in der Weise ausgebildet, daß zur Herstellung eines Verbundes zwischen Druck- und Zugzonen des Verbundsturzes, bei dem die auf Druck tragenden Steine der Läuferschicht (15) über der Bewehrung (100) ein Verankerungssystem bilden, das die unterhalb der Bewehrung (100) angebrachten Steine der Rollschicht (16) zum Halten bringt, wobei die Bewehrung (100) sowohl aus parallel laufenden Längsstäben (10,11) als auch aus senkrecht hierzu angeordneten, sich in die Läuferschicht und in die Rollschicht erstreckenden bogenförmigen Bügeln (13) oder Platten besteht, wobei sich die in die Läuferschicht (15) des Verblendsturzes geführten Bügel (13) bis in die benachbarte, parallel zur Längsfuge (17) liegenden Mörtel- oder Zement-/Mörtel-Fuge (18) erstrecken <IMAGE>
