Abstract (en)
The invention relates to an apparatus for the directional solidification of metal melts in a mould shell whose cross-section varies over its length and which can be moved relative to a source of heat. To serve this purpose, a thermal insulation block is arranged between the source of heat and a heat sink. This block has an opening for the passage of the mould shell. On the mould shell there are external ribs, which are arranged orthogonally to the direction of movement and whose external shape is matched to the opening of the thermal insulation block. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung bertrifft eine Vorrichtung zur gerichteten Erstarrung von Schmelzgut in einer Formschale, die über ihre Länge unterschiedliche Querschnitte aufweist und relativ zu einer Wärmequelle bewegbar ist. Dazu ist zwischen der Wärmequelle und einer Wärmesenke ein Wärmeisolationsblock angeordnet. Dieser weist eine Öffnung zum Hindurchfahren der Formschale auf. An der Formschale befinden sich Außenrippen, die orthogonal zur Bewegungsrichtung angeordnet sind und in ihrer Außenkontur der Öffnung des Wärmeisolationsblocks angepaßt sind. <IMAGE>
