[origin: WO9306587A1] The invention relates to a method for controlling a display device in a display system, and to a display system and a display device. In order to achieve a user-friendly display system where the properties of both the display device and the display controller can be utilized as efficiently as possible, a bidirectional data transmission path is established between the display device (4) and the means (5, 1) controlling it so that at least one signal line (12) used for controlling the image displayed by the display device (4) is also utilized in the data transmission mode as the data transmission path.

L'invention se rapporte à un procédé permettant de commander un dispositif d'affichage dans un système d'affichage, ainsi qu'à un système et à un dispositif d'affichage. Afin d'obtenir un système d'affichage facile à utiliser, dans lequel les caractéristiques du dispositif d'affichage aussi bien que du contrôleur d'affichage peuvent être utilisées aussi efficacement que possible, une voie de transmission de données bidirectionnelle est établie entre le dispositif d'affichage (4) et les éléments de commande (5, 1) afin qu'au moins une ligne de signalisation (12) utilisée pour commander l'image affichée par le dispositif d'affichage (4) est également utilisée en mode de transmission de données comme la voie de transmission de données.
