[origin: WO9306183A1] A tape composition is disclosed which utilizes a multi-layer co-extruded film having a first layer comprising a film having a low energy surface, and a second layer having high tensile strength, flexibility and a low rate of water vapor transmission. The multi-layer film is laminated with a fabric layer which imparts straight line tearing characteristics to the tape and an adhesive to form the finished product.

Composition de bande adhésive utilisant un film multi-couches co-extrudé dont la première couche comporte un film ayant une surface à faible énergie et une seconde couche ayant une résistance élevée à la traction, de la souplesse et un faible degré de transmission de la vapeur d'eau. Le film multi-couches est contre-collé sur une couche de tissu qui confère des caractéristiques de déchirure en ligne droite à la bande, et avec un adhésif pour former le produit fini.
