Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0604933A1] Described is a textile floor covering with mutually interconnected sphere-shaped fibre aggregates (modules) consisting of spherically entwined textile fibres, wherein the fibre aggregates are connected to one another and to the floor by a single binder. The floor covering is produced by laying a layer of spherically entwined, sphere-shaped fibre aggregates of textile fibres on the floor to be covered and securing the layer to the floor with a binder. This results in a floor covering which, compared with existing coverings, is less costly to produce and simpler to lay, but which, on the other hand, has the same structural and colouring possibilities as a carpet consisting of spherical yarns. <IMAGE>
