The invention relates to improved ship propulsion with two contra-rotating propellers, the rear propeller of which is fastened at the head end to an inner shaft and the front propeller of which is fastened at the head end to a hollow shaft guided concentrically to the inner shaft, in which arrangement the inner shaft is passed through gearing and can be fastened at the foot end to an output shaft of a first engine, and arranged at the foot end on the hollow shaft is a gear which meshes with a further gear which is fastened to an input shaft which is guided parallel to the inner shaft and can be connected to the output of a second engine. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft einen verbesserten Schiffsantrieb mit zwei gegenläufigen Schrauben, deren hintere Schiffsschraube an einer Innenwelle und deren vordere Schiffsschraube an einer konzentrisch zur Innenwelle geführten Hohlwelle kopfendig befestigt ist, wobei die Innenwelle durch ein Getriebe geführt wird und fußendig an einer Ausgangswelle eines ersten Motors befestigbar ist, und wobei an der Hohlwelle fußendig ein Zahnrad angeordnet ist, welches mit einem weiteren Zahnrad kämmt, das an einer parallel zur Innenwelle geführten mit dem Ausgang eines zweiten Motors verbindbare Eingangswelle befestigt ist. <IMAGE>
