[origin: WO9305966A1] A marking instrument, e.g. a fibre tip pen, roller ball pen, or highlighter pen, has a feed device which conducts marking liquid from the reservoir chamber (17) to the marking tip supported by an elastomeric diaphragm (6) which partly confines the reservoir chamber and forms a valve with the feed device so that when the tip is applied against a surface the feed device retracts causing the diaphragm (6) to pressurise the liquid in the reservoir and open the valve whereby liquid is pumped to the tip.

Instrument d'écriture ou de marquage, tel qu'un stylo à pointe fibreuse, un stylo à bille, ou un surligneur, comprenant un système de distribution qui achemine le liquide de marquage depuis la chambre (17) du réservoir jusqu'à la pointe de marquage qui est supportée par un diaphragme (6) élastomère lequel définit partiellement la chambre du réservoir et forme une vanne avec le système de distribution de sorte que lorsque la pointe est appliquée contre une surface, le système de distribution se rétracte et pousse ainsi le diaphragme (6) à comprimer le liquide contenu dans le réservoir et à ouvrir la vanne pour que le liquide soit pompé et parvienne à la pointe.
