A cloth having a desired printed pattern formed by dotted dyeing, on which said dotted dyeing is made to a length of 0.05-0.3 mm in the lengthwise direction of each monofilament of the threads constituting the cloth, a delicate printed pattern being also dyed clearly with a high reproducibility. This printed pattern can be formed by using dyes of three primary colors or three primary colors and a jet-black. These dyes of three primary colors preferably consist of dyes I, II, III in which the perceptual chromaticity indexes a, b defined in a hue range (CIE 1976 (L, a, b) space) on a cloth are in the following ranges, and a jet-black dye a dye IV. On décrit un tissu doté d'un motif imprimé formé par une teinture en pointillé. Celle-ci présente des pointillés longs de 0,05 à 0,3 mm pour chaque monofilament des fils constituant le tissu et permet l'impression nette d'un motif délicat très facilement reproductible. On peut créer ce motif imprimé en utilisant des teintures des trois couleurs primaires ou des trois couleurs primaires plus le noir saturé. Ces teintures des trois couleurs primaires consistent de préférence en teintures I, II et III pour lesquelles les indices de chromaticité a et b définis dans une gamme de nuances (CIE 1976 (L, a, b) schéma tridimensionnel) sur un tissu se situent dans les fourchettes suivantes, outre la teinture IV non saturée: I Jaune: (a) -20 - 0 (b) 50 - 90; II Rouge: (a) 50 - 70 (b) 0 - 20; III Bleu: (a) -50 - -10 (b) -50 - -20; IV Noir: (a) -6 - 6 (b) -6 - 6. On obtient un tel tissu imprimé en teignant la surface d'un tissu par application d'une encre d'impression en pointillé grâce à un éjecteur de teinture doté d'une buse ne descendant pas en dessous de 80 points/cm et contrôlée par un signal d'image.
