Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0605787A1] In a method for the production of cushioned mailing bags, in which an upper and a lower paper web are joined together, with at least two webs of cushioning material being enclosed, a closing device is attached to one paper web at predetermined intervals. Webs of beaded paper are supplied, in each case, as cushioning material, a reactivatable hot-melt glue coating being applied along predetermined regions to at least one beaded-paper web and to at least one of the upper or lower paper webs, before the webs converge. By means of hot-melt glue reactivation stages, the predetermined regions having coated-on hot-melt glue between the upper and lower paper webs and/or between the beaded-paper webs are firmly connected or adhesively bonded to one another. <IMAGE>
