Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0606027A1] In this method, a single distillation column (9) fitted with a nitrogen refrigeration cycle is used. Liquid oxygen and/or liquid nitrogen coming from the tank of the column are pumped (14, 15) to a high production pressure and are vaporised by condensation of supercompressed air. Simultaneously, liquid oxygen and/or liquid nitrogen are produced. The installation may include a column (10) for production of impure argon, coupled to the single column. <IMAGE>
