[origin: WO9307730A1] Several microphones (M1, M3) are arranged substantially in the same plane (P) and they are symmetrically distributed in relation to a direction of symmetry (D) at right angles to said plane (P). Dephasing is applied to the signals provided by different microphones (M1, M3) respectively and the signals so dephased are added, so as to substantially cancel the signals corresponding to any audible wave reaching each of the microphones (M1, M3) in phase and with the same intensity. The apparatus can be further equipped with a loudspeaker (4) disposed in the direction of symmetry (D) and oriented in this direction, opposite the microphones (M1, M3). For use especially with an audioconference system.

Abstract (fr)

On dispose plusieurs microphones (M1, M3) sensiblement dans un même plan (P) et on les répartit de façon symétrique par rapport à une direction de symétrie (D) perpendiculaire à ce plan (P). On applique un déphasage entre les signaux issus respectivement de différents microphones (M1, M3) et on additionne les signaux ainsi déphasés, de façon à annuler sensiblement les signaux relatifs à toute onde sonore parvenant en phase et avec la même intensité sur chacun des microphones (M1, M3). L'appareil peut en outre être équipé d'un haut-parleur (4) disposé sur la direction de symétrie (D) et orienté suivant cette direction, à l'opposé des microphones (M1, M3). Utilisation notamment avec un système d'audioconférence.
