A flat upholstery body consisting of a flexible core of foam material which comprises a multiplicity of spring bodies (2, 4) connected to one another at the underside by a continuous base layer, and an upholstery panel, in particular for use as a supporting panel (8, 9) in an upholstery body. In order to provide a fully aired upholstery body with increased point elasticity, supporting panels (8, 9) and cores of foam material are provided with shaped hollow spaces (10a, 14, 14a) which extend continuously over their height, are vertically aligned and when different layers (1, 3) of spring bodies (2, 4) are combined with supporting panels (8, 9) form continuous vertical air exchange channels. <IMAGE>

Flächiger Polsterkörper, der aus einem elastischen Kern aus Schaumstoff besteht, der eine Vielzahl unterseitig durch eine durchgehende Basisschicht miteinander verbundener Federkörper (2,4) umfaßt und Polsterplatte insbesondere zur Verwendung als Auflageplatte (8,9) in einem Polsterkörper. Um einen voll-durchlüfteten Polsterkörper mit erhöhter Punktelastizität zu schaffen, werden Auflageplatten (8,9) und Kerne aus Schaumstoff mit sich über ihre Höhe durchgehend erstreckenden, vertikal ausgerichteten geformten Hohlräumen (10a,14,14a) versehen, die bei Kombination verschiedener Lagen (1,3) von Federkörpern (2,4) mit Auflagenplatten (8,9) durchgehende vertikale Luftaustauschkanäle bilden. <IMAGE>
