Abstract (en)
[origin: DE4241810A1] The folding machine has a device for making longitudinal folds with cutters and a subsequent device for making transverse folds. There is a first out-tray associated with these. There is a second longitudinal folding device, to which the contents of the first out-tray are delivered by rollers, and thence to a second out-tray. The cutting cylinders (9) are driven independently by a motor (10) from the delivery rollers (4, 6), which have their own motor (7). The transverse folding devices (19, 22, 24) are driven from the cutting cylinder by other rollers. There are conveyor belts (13, 14) below the cutting cylinder, driven from a separate motor (15). A sensor (17) delivers pulses to a drive (15) of the conveyor belts (13,14). ADVANTAGE - Gives variable format with no punctures.
