[origin: EP0607515A1] In such pumps there is the problem that, in spite of elastic motor bearings, a low-frequency motor rumble (running noise) is present. In contrast, the novel pump has the features that the electric motor (4) is supported by means of elastic motor bearings (12, 14), and that an intake port (15) is disposed between electric motor (4) and pump mechanism (2) at the elastic motor bearing (12, 14) located there, which intake port projects in an inlet collar (16) of a pump impeller (17) and provides air from an electric motor chamber (3).
