[origin: EP0607555A2] The invention relates to a cleaning arrangement for a cooking oven having a chamber (M), a heating element (R1, R2) arranged underneath the chamber (M) and, if necessary, a heating element arranged above the chamber (M). By means of a switching device (S), the heating element (R1, R2) arranged underneath the chamber (M) can be separately activated so that the heating element (R1, R2) arranged underneath the chamber (M) forms a temperature which evaporates a cleaning agent (R) brought into the chamber (M). This temperature lies approximately in the range from 50 to 70@C. The cleaning agent used is, for example, rinsing lye or an enamel cleaning agent. <IMAGE>
