[origin: EP0607565A2] For a magnet system for a selection block on textile machines, it is proposed to design the armature of the magnet system directly as a control flap for the needle selection. It is proposed, furthermore, to assemble the selection block from two half-shells, in which the magnet systems are respectively arranged at a double-pitch spacing, the magnet systems of the two half-shells being offset relative to one another, so that the spacing of the control flaps of the selection block corresponds to the single pitch spacing after assembly. <IMAGE>
