[origin: EP0607915A1] The invention relates to a process for extending an operating pylon (10), and to a hoisting apparatus (20) serving to carry out this process. The hoisting apparatus (20) is placed on the pylon (10) which is to be extended and is connected to said pylon in at least two spaced-apart planes (24, 28), the pylon (10) is then separated from its pylon foot (11) and the pylon (10) is subsequently raised up, by means of the hoisting apparatus (20) connected to it, until it has reached the desired height and, finally, a prepared pylon part (30) is introduced into the resulting gap and connected to the raised-up pylon (10) and to the pylon foot (11), and, after releasing the connection to the pylon (10), the hoisting apparatus (20) is removed. <IMAGE>
