A mail-processing machine comprises a mechanical jogging device between a destacking head (3) and a conveying path (1) for a stack (2) of items of mail. The jogging device comprises inclined rollers (8) driven in rotation so that an item of mail from the stack which overhangs above the rollers can fall on its edge, under gravity, on the rollers and be driven towards a jogging edge (7) while being moved towards the destacking head through the effect of the rotation of the rollers in order to come substantially into contact, via its free face, against the destacking head. <IMAGE>

Une machine de traitement de courrier comprend un dispositif de retaquage mécanique entre une tête de dépilage (3) et un chemin de transport (1) d'une pile (2) de plis courrier. Le dispositif de retaquage comprend des rouleaux (8) inclinés entraînés en rotation de manière à ce qu'un plis de courrier de la pile venant en surplomb au dessus des rouleaux puisse tomber sur chant, sous l'action de la gravité, sur les rouleaux et soit entraîné vers une rive de taquage (7) tout en étant déplacé vers la tête de dépilage par l'effet de la rotation des rouleaux pour venir sensiblement en contact, par sa face libre, contre la tête de dépilage. <IMAGE>
