[origin: EP0608677A1] The subject of the invention is a refuse receptacle with reduced capacity as compared with the conventional 120 litre refuse receptacle. According to the invention, it is proposed, in such a refuse receptacle, that it should have both the same tipping edge height and the same cross-section as the 120 litre receptacle, that the refuse receptacle should be divided in two vertically in order to reduce the capacity, the upper part (2) being designed with its own bottom and forming the actual refuse receiving container, and that the two parts (1, 2) be connected to each other by means of a preferably releaseable locking connection (5, 6). <IMAGE>
