[origin: WO9308013A1] A conductive polymeric heat recoverable article is provided with electrodes (10) on its surface. The electrodes (10) can be connected to a source of electrical power to cause current to flow through the article to heat and hence to recover the article. However the arrangement is such that although the regions of the article immediately beneath the electrodes (10) may comprise heat recoverable material, those regions are not heated to a temperature sufficient to recover them. Therefore although the region of the article between the electrodes (2', 2'') recovers, the regions immediately beneath the electrodes (10) do not. So the electrodes (10) remain in contact with the article.

On décrit un article thermoreformable, polymère, conducteur pourvu d'électrodes (10) sur sa surface. Les électrodes (10) peuvent être reliées à une source de courant électrique afin de provoquer le passage du courant dans l'article à chauffer et donc à redresser l'article. Toutefois, la disposition est telle que bien que les régions de l'article se trouvant immédiatement sous les électrodes (10) puissent comporter une matière thermoreformable, ces régions ne sont pas chauffées à une température suffisante pour pouvoir les redresser. Par conséquent, bien que la région de l'article située entre les électrodes (2', 2'') se redresse, les régions situées immédiatement sous les électrodes (10) ne le peuvent pas. Les électrodes (10) restent donc en contact avec l'article.
