[origin: US5465764A] A dryer screen has a paper side and a machine side. A plurality of machine direction threads extend in the direction of movement of the screen. The machine direction threads are arrayed in first and second groups. The threads of the groups are bound to the screen through different binding pattern repeats. A plurality of cross threads extend generally transverse to the machine direction threads. The threads of the first group are arrayed in first and second subgroups offset with respect to the direction of movement of the screen. Each subgroup comprises at least two abutting contiguous machine direction threads having a binding pattern repeat floating on the paper side over a predetermined plurality of cross threads.

Ein Trockensieb (1) weist sich in Maschinenlaufrichtung (A) erstreckende Längsfäden (4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9) und sich quer dazu erstreckende Querfäden (2) aus Kunststoffmaterial auf, wobei eine erste Gruppe von Längsfäden (4, 5, 6, 7) auf der Papierseite über mehrere Querfäden (2) flottiert und eine zweite Gruppe von Längsfäden (8, 9) vorhanden ist, die unterschiedlich zur ersten Gruppe von Längsfäden (4, 5, 6, 7) einbindet. Damit ein solches Trockensieb (1) trotz großer Kontaktfläche auf der Papierseite eine gute Flexibilität aufweist, bilden jeweils mindestens zwei benachbarte Längsfäden (4, 5 bzw. 6, 7) der ersten Gruppe Untergruppen von zumindest auf der Papierseite gleichbindend verlaufenden Längsfäden (4, 5 bzw. 6, 7) und liegen die Längsfäden (4, 5 bzw. 6, 7) einer Untergruppe Seite an Seite aneinander. <IMAGE>
