Abstract (en)
[origin: DE4303068C1] The switch (1) has an electrically controlled magnetic system (2, 3, 4) for moving a pivoted switch wiper (5) with 2 wiper arms (6, 7) between two different switch positions. A rotatable operating wiper (10) has two operating arms (11, 12) respectively acting in the 2 wiper arms (6, 7), one of which is spaced from its respective wiper arm by a shorter distance than the other dependent on the switch position. The operating arm is accelerated upon activation of the magnetic system so that the closer operating arm acts on the wiper arm to operate the switch contents. Pref., the magnetic system has a magnetic yoke (3) provided with an energising coil (2) and a cooperating armature, via which the operating arm is displaced for operating the wiper arm. ADVANTAGE - Allows manual or remote-control operation of switch, using simple, low-cost switch mechanism with good reliability.
