[origin: WO9309201A1] An oil-base drilling fluid capable of being held at temperatures in excess of 400 DEG F while maintaining its yield point comprises (i) oil, (ii) a surfactant, (iii) an organophilic clay, (iv) a polymeric fluid loss control agent selected from the group consisting of polystyrene, polybutadiene, polyethylene, polypropylene, polybutylene, polyisoprene, natural rubber, butyl rubber, polymers consisting of at least two monomers selected from the group consisting of styrene, butadiene, isoprene, and vinyl carboxylic acid, and mixtures thereof, and (v) a sulfonated elastomer polymeric viscosifier.

Fluide de forage à base d'huile pouvant être utilisé à des températures dépassant 400 °F sans que sa limite apparente d'élasticité ne se modifie. Ce fluide comprend (i) de l'huile; (ii) un tensioactif; (iii) une argile organophile; (iv) un agent polymère empêchant la perte de fluide, sélectionné dans le groupe composé de polystyrène, polybutadiène, polyéthylène, polypropylène, polybutylène, polyisoprène, caoutchouc naturel, caoutchouc de butyle, de polymères composés d'au moins deux monomères sélectionnés dans le groupe composé de styrène, butadiène, isoprène, et d'acide vinyl carboxylique, et de mélanges de ces composés; et (v) un additif de viscosité polymère élastomère sulfoné.
