The invention relates to a mechanism for setting in three positions the "head" section and a section of the base of a studio couch and for folding the parts of this mechanism, characterised in that a member (10) forming part of the base joined, on the one hand by a hinge to a member forming part of the base, and on the other hand by sliding means to a rack (19) on the one end of which pivots on one end of a bracket (17) whose other end is hinge-mounted on a lever (14), hinged to a locking lever (16) pivoting on one end of a swinging member aforementioned (2), a pin (26) projecting laterally out of the bracket (17) and fitting, in the couch position, in a recess (16') formed in the abovementioned locking lever (16) and coming out of it when the member (10) is turned on its hinge. <IMAGE>

L'invention se rapporte à un mécanisme de mise en trois positions de la partie "tête" et d'une partie du sommier d'un lit-banquette et de rabattement des éléments de ce mécanisme, caractérisé en ce qu'un profilé (10) faisant partie du sommier réuni, d'une part, à charnière avec un profilé faisant partie du sommier et, d'autre part, à coulissement avec une crémaillère (19) dont une extrémité est reliée à pivotement à une extrémité d'une équerre (17) dont l'autre extrémité est montée à charnière sur un levier (14), articulé sur un levier de blocage (16) monté à pivotement sur une extrémité d'un profilé basculant précité (2), un tenon (26) faisant latéralement saillie hors de l'équerre (17) pour se loger, dans la position lit, dans un creux (16') menagé dans le levier de blocage (16) précité et s'en extraire lors du rabattement du profilé (10). <IMAGE>
