[origin: WO9309750A1] A parturition bed having a lying surface (1) transversely divided into two mutually adjustable parts has a main supporting part (2) and a leg supporting part (3) that may be adjusted from a common lying plane into planes approximately parallel to the lying plane located at different heights with respect to each other. The leg supporting part (3) can be moved when it is in a lowered position in relation to the main supporting part (3) can be moved when it is in a lowered position in relation to the main supporting part (2) in the longitudinal direction of the parturition bed into a free space located below the main supporting part (2), at least in the pelvis supporting area of the latter. Un lit d'accouchement avec une surface de repos (1) divisée transversalement en deux parties pouvant se déplacer l'une par rapport à l'autre présente une partie (2) soutenant la majeure partie du corps et une partie (3) soutenant les jambes. Ces deux parties (2, 3) peuvent se déplacer l'une par rapport à l'autre, à partir d'un plan commun correspondant à une position allongée, dans des plans situés à différentes hauteurs et approximativement parallèles au plan de la position allongée. La partie (3) soutenant les jambes peut être déplacée, en position abaissée par rapport à la partie (2) soutenant la majeure partie du corps, dans le sens longitudinal du lit d'accouchement, sous la partie (2) soutenant la majeure partie du corps, dans un espace libre prévu sous cette partie (2) soutenant la majeure partie du corps au moins dans la zone de cette partie correspondant au bassin. Pour permettre à la parturiente de prendre une position correspondant à son souhait, y compris une position verticale de parturition, offrant une bonne accessibilité pour le médecin et la sage-femme, la partie (2) supportant la majeure partie du corps s'appuie sur un support (6) sortant d'un appui principal (5) s'appuyant sur le sol (4) et disposé dans la zone qui correspond à la tête dans la partie (2) soutenant la majeure partie du corps et elle peut être soulevée jusqu'à une position supérieure et ramenée ensuite à la première position au moyen d'un mécanisme de réglage (8, 9, 11, 12, 13).
