[origin: CA2126107A1] 2126107 9406377 PCTABS00030 A self contained urinary catheter assembly (10) for use in draining the bladder through the urethra comprising a flexible receptacle (11) defining a closed chamber (20) therein; a mounting (40) on the receptacle with a catheter opening (46) therethrough to the closed chamber; and a catheter (21) carried in the closed chamber in the flexible receptacle to be selectively extended out of the chamber through the catheter opening during use and retracted after use. The catheter may be selectively released from the chamber and opening so that uncontaminated urine samples may be removed from the closed chamber.

Ensemble (10) cathéter urinaire autonome destiné à être utilisé pour drainer la vessie par l'urètre, qui comporte un récipient souple (11) formant à l'intérieur une poche fermée (20); un dispositif (40) monté sur le récipient, traversé par un orifice (46) de cathéter débouchant dans la poche fermée; et un cathéter (21) placé dans la poche fermée formée par le récipient souple et destiné à être étendu sélectivement hors de la poche à travers l'orifice de cathéter pendant l'utilisation et à être rétracté après utilisation. Ledit cathéter peut être éventuellement détaché de la poche et de l'orifice, ce qui permet de prélever de la poche fermée des échantillons d'urine non contaminés.
