[origin: WO9309896A1] A non-cutting tool is disclosed for producing workpiece inner and outer profiles, in particular inner and outer threads. The tool has several elements (1) arranged in such a way in their initial position that they may be inserted into the workpiece. In addition, a spreading element (3) is provided that moves the tool elements (1) in a direction essentially perpendicular to the surface or in a radial direction into an engagement position, in which the tool elements (1) are pressed on the workpiece (6) in such a way that no gaps are left between them and the desired profile is formed.

Instrument pour la réalisation de profils extérieurs ou intérieurs sans enlèvement de copeaux sur des pièces à usiner et notamment pour la réalisation de filets extérieurs ou intérieurs. Cet instrument comporte plusieurs éléments (1) qui se trouvent disposés dans un état initial tel qu'ils puissent être introduits dans la pièce à usiner. De plus, un élément d'écartement (3) est prévu, qui amène les éléments (1) en position de contact, par un mouvement essentiellement perpendiculaire à la surface supérieure ou dans le sens radial. Les éléments (1) sont alors pressés contre la pièce à usiner (6) de sorte à façonner le profil voulu sans qu'il y ait un espace libre séparant lesdits éléments.
