[origin: DE4306911C1] The weft yarn brake unit, with an adjustable braking action, has a step motor (7) as the controlled unit, with a rotational symmetrical seting unit (9) keyed to the free end of the motor shaft to act on two blade sections (6a,6b). The step motor (7) is coupled to a yarn brake control (13) which is programmed to deliver setting signals according to the operating parameters. Pref. a disc magnet step motor is used. A micro control is the programmable yarn brake control (13), coupled to the loom control (14). The braking parameters are set through menus at the loom control interactive terminal (12). USE/ADVANTAGE - The weft yarn brake is esp. for a shuttleless loom, where two blade sections bear against the weft between them for braking. The braking action can be set within fine tolerances in a setting which can be repeated as required.

Der verbesserten Schußfadenbremse liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, Bremsparameter wie z.B. die Bremskraft in engen Grenzen einstellbar und reproduzierbar zu gestalten. Erfindungsgemäß wird dies dadurch erreicht, indem ein Schrittmotor 7 und ein mit dem Motor verbundenes Mittel 9 steuernd auf wenigstens ein lamellenartiges Teil 6a,6b der aus zwei sich federnd gegeneinander legenden und den Schußfaden zwischen sich aufnehmenden lamellenartigen Teilen 6a,6b bestehenden Schußfadenbremse einwirkt. <IMAGE>
