Date Jun. 10, 1993.In a device for the electrolytic deposition of metal on the metal strips (1) forming the cathode, which are taken through a gap in an electrolyte (3) between two flat or rod-like parallel anodes (2), the proposal is for edge masks (4) to screen off the edge regions of the metal strip (1). The shanks (41 ) of each edge mask (4) are prestressed by springs against the anodes (2) and their relatively wide shanks may be directed transversely to the direction of the strip in order to take transitions between different strip widths into account.

Sur un dispositif permettant un dépôt électrolytique de métal sur les rubans métalliques (1) formant la cathode, rubans qui sont guidés à travers une fente dans un électrolyte (3) entre deux anodes (2) en forme de plaques ou de tiges et parallèles entre elles, il est proposé de prévoir des caches à arêtes (4) entourant et protégeant la partie périphérique du ruban métallique (1). Les branches (41) de chaque cache à arêtes (4) viennent au contact des anodes (2) par une précontrainte élastique et peuvent être disposées transversalement par rapport à la direction du ruban en raison de leurs largeurs relativement importantes, de manière à englober également des transitions entre des largeurs de ruban différentes.
