The products are subsesquently brought to atmospheric pressure to eliminate the dense fluid therefrom.

L'invention concerne un procédé de traitement de produits constitués par des peaux, des cuirs ou d'autres matériaux en feuilles contenant du collagène, tannés ou non, à différents stades de leur transformation. Selon ce procédé, on met en contact en (1) les produits avec un fluide dense sous pression, par exemple du CO2 à l'état supercritique ou liquide sous pression, qui contient éventuellement une ou plusieurs substances actives et qui est porté à une pression Pi en (5) et à une température Ti en (7), soit pour dégraisser ces produits lorsqu'on utilise du fluide pur, soit pour les imprégner de substances actives telles que des agents de tannage, de renforcement, de coloration ou d'hydrofugation. Après cette imprégnation ou ce dégraissage, on ramène les produits à la pression atmosphérique pour éliminer de ceux-ci, le fluide dense. Le procédé peut être mis en oeuvre dans plusieurs stades d'une chaîne de transformation des peaux en cuirs ou autres matériaux en feuilles, les caractéristiques de pression et de température de fluide étant adaptées à l'objectif visé.
