Abstract (en)
[origin: US5577757A] A binding system for snow boards, comprising a front binding element and a rear binding element for holding a boot in place on the boards. The front binding element engages behind a surfaces or step on a front end of the boot. The rear binding element is formed by support jaws which receive a boot or its heel section between them. Each jaw is provided with at least one recess for receiving a projection laterally extending from the heel of the boot. When positioned, the projections are locked in place by means of hook shaped locking elements which are kept biased in a locking position by a spring member.
