[origin: WO9312510A1] Intervention on a terminal (1) delivering goods or services is effected by introducing a smart card (6) in the terminal (1). Said smart card (6) is comprised of a memory (11), a micro-programmed (8) micro-processor (7) and information exchange means (12) for data-exchange with the terminal (1). Intervention is authorized by comparison of a secret code related to the terminal with a secret code related to the card (6), followed by physical action on the terminal (1). According to the invention, a step is added after the introduction of the smart card (6) and before the physical action, during which step the terminal (1) transfers information related to the state of said terminal (1) before intervention to a card (6) reading memory (11).
