Device for protecting an opening such as a roller shutter (1) comprising a drum (4) driven in rotation by a motor unit (5) around which a shutter (6) or curtain is wound between at least two positions, and means (15) for controlling the position of the said shutter (6) which are fixed to the position of the drum (4). According to the invention, it comprises, mechanically coupled to the drum (4), at least one element (16) enabling the voltage and/or current to be varied at its terminals as a function of the position of the shutter, and means (17) which compare the signal delivered with at least two predetermined thresholds. <IMAGE>

Dispositif de protection d'une ouverture tel qu'un volet roulant (1) comprenant un tambour (4) entraîné en rotation par un organe moteur (5) autour duquel s'enroulent entre au moins deux positions un rideau (6) ou un tablier, et des moyens de contrôle (15) de la position du dit rideau (6) assujettis à la position du tambour (4). Selon l'invention, il comporte, associé mécaniquement au tambour (4), au moins un élément (16) permettant de faire varier, à ses bornes, la valeur de la tension et/ou de l'intensité en fonction de la position du rideau et des moyens (17) pour comparer le signal délivré avec au moins deux seuils prédéterminés. <IMAGE>
