[origin: DE4311299C1] The straightening appts. includes a main frame formed by body components (2, 3) mounted on guide elements and provided with a closing mechanism. The frame holds several straightening rolls installed in the components (2, 3) - which are movable relative to one another - and arranged in two parallel planes. The appts. is characterized by the following facts: (a) the components (2, 3) are kept in a definite open state by means of springs (7); (b) they are brought into a closed state with a given definite zero setting by means of the closing mechanism; and (c) the closed state with a definite zero setting is secured by means of a releasable catch mechanism. USE/ADVANTAGE - For straightening wire and tube products. Zero setting of the appts. is retained longer without adjustment or part replacement.
