Abstract (en)
The invention relates to an ionisation chamber for the detection of gamma radiation, including: - an enclosure (1) made of aluminium and of lead and filled with argon under a pressure of 5 to 10 bar, and - two electrodes (3,4) located inside the enclosure, these electrodes being electrically insulated and separated from each other in order to create an electric field (E) between them and allow the passage, through this electric field, of ionising particles which produce ions which can be collected via the said electrodes. Application to nuclear reactors and to nuclear fuel reprocessing plants. <IMAGE>

L'invention concerne une chambre d'ionisation pour la détection de rayonnement γ comportant : une enceinte (1) réalisée en Aluminium et en Plomb et remplie d'Argon sous une pression de 5 à 10 bars, et deux électrodes (3,4) situées à l'intérieur de l'enceinte, ces électrodes étant électriquement isolées et séparées l'une de l'autre afin de créer un champ électrique (E) entre elles et de permettre le passage, dans ce champ électrique, de particules ionisantes produisant des ions pouvant être collectés par lesdites électrodes. Application aux réacteurs nucléaires et aux usines de retraitement de combustible nucléaire. <IMAGE>
