[origin: WO9313946A1] A device for feeding a continuous rolled strip of printing substrate to a laser printer (10) not otherwise configured therefor, and dispensing the strip (5) in a predetermined format. The device comprises an infeed unit (12) and an outfeed unit (14) respectively arranged at the input (22) and output (24) of the printer, and each including a guillotine unit (32, 34) for cutting the strip as well as a unit for measuring the length of the strip between one cutting operation and the next. The device is particularly suitable for quickly producing business cards and other small-format documents.

La présente invention concerne un dispositif d'alimentation d'un substrat d'impression en bande continue enroulée, à une imprimante (10) de type laser non prévue à cet effet, et de débitage de bande (5) dans un format déterminé. Selon l'invention ce dispositif comporte un moyen d'entrée (12) et un moyen de sortie (14) disposés respectivement à l'entrée (22) et à la sortie (24) de l'imprimante et comprenant l'un et l'autre un moyen de massicot (32, 34) de découpe de la bande et un moyen de mesure de la longueur de la bande entre deux découpes successives. Application notamment à la fabrication rapide de cartes de visite et de documents de petite taille.
