Bei einer Anlage zum Herstellen eines Stahlbandes durch Verformen eines gegossenen Stahlstranges (5), bestehend aus einer Stranggießmaschine mit einer oszillierenden Durchlaufkokille (1) mit gekühlten Wänden und einer am Kokillenauslauf angeordneten, Verformrollen aufweisenden Verformungsvorrichtung (2) für den Stahlstrang, können Oberflächenfehler des Stahlbandes aufgrund einer den Verformrollen (3, 4) zugeordneten Entschlackungs- und Entzunderungsvorrichtung vermieden werden, wenn Spritzdüsen (7) an der von dem Strang (5) abgewandten Seite auf die Verformrollen (3, 4) gerichtet sind. <IMAGE>
